Sophisticated, effortless, intelligent... the key adjectives to describe the women that Lorenzo Serafini had in mind designing his Spring/Summer 2024 collection for the Philosophy brand. Beauty, elegance and femininity are unquestionable objectives achieved through an effort that, setting aside eye-catching decorativism, seduces with elevated design fueled by creative knowledge. Clothes come alive when worn with both grace and sharpness: contrasts find a charming balance contributing to telegraph a precise message of contemporary, cool refinement. Essentiality is glorified with coherence without setting aside fantasy and imagination. Tailoring is deconstructed and breezy. A game of layering, executed with a very soft hand, adds an interesting vibe. Feminine jersey dresses exquisitely draped are injected with effortless elegance.

The lightness of the fabrics, including wool voile, a tactile cotton and linen blend, featherweight nylon and poplin cotton, is exalted by the palette expressing the Designer's refined and delicate color sensibility. Pistachio, banana, petal rose are juxtaposed to warm tones of chocolate and graphic touches of black. Focused on solids, the collection welcomes irregular, artsy stripes that look like bleached by the sun - sweet memories of a never-ending summer. Adding a sophisticated feel to the look, soft clutches, shown in a small and large version, reveal a retro-inspired design, while footwear, developed in collaboration with London-based shoe label Malone Souliers, underpin the collection’s overall sense of essential yet seductive femininity.
